Encompass Farm in Western North Carolina is dedicated to sustainable and ecologically restorative farming practices. Specializing in the cultivation and sale of organic produce and fresh cut flowers, the farm has a steadfast commitment to leaving the land in better condition than they found it. Encompass uses regenerative agriculture techniques to enhance soil health, reduce environmental impact, and promote biodiversity.

In addition to their fresh produce and flowers, Encompass Farm extends its reach through subscription boxes, featuring a curated selection of seasonal delights straight from the farm. Customers can elevate their culinary experience with additional handcrafted spice blends and infused oils.

At the heart of Encompass Farm’s offerings is land design, empowering individuals to transform their yards into easily maintainable, highly productive food and flower gardens. This service aligns with their vision of fostering a more sustainable and self-sufficient lifestyle for their customers and healing the land around us.

Encompass Farm
Branding + Packaging

  • This brand was created during a season of big changes for Encompass Farm as they transitioned from urban gardening to farm ownership. The main goal was to maintain current customers while attracting new ones– ensuring all felt welcome and a part of a growing community.

There are three different aspects of the business: farm fresh produce, ready made goods, and land design. The brand needed to create cohesion across all three aspects of the business, increase brand recognition, and raise the perceived value of the products and services.

  • Western North Carolina has a plethora of local farms and a thriving farmers market scene. Vannah (owner) and I worked together to make sure the brand would stand out in the crowd.

  • Before working on creative assets we established the brand values: connection, community, convenience, ecological resilience, transparency, and education

The symmetrical nature of the logo is inspired by vintage Art Nouveau illustrations, but it is purposely left a little “rough” to give it a hobbit/folk art vibe. This also helps to reinforce the idea that this is an affordable service/product for every day people. In addition, it is very different from their competitors as in this instance, they have heavily leaned into polished digital art for their logos.
