Hi, I’m Sierra!
In 2019, after several half-hearted attempts, I finally committed to taking myself and my dreams seriously. With a Fine Arts degree and twelve years in the creative field, I was never inexperienced or unqualified; I just hadn’t consistently shown up in a professional way. For a long time, I struggled with imposter syndrome—worried that I was trying too hard or wasn’t as good as I thought.
After a season of planning and studying, I launched Sierra Dawn Design Co., blending my passion and skills into a brand design studio. Since then, I’ve worked with over 25 small businesses and a few larger ones as well where I collaborated with senior-level designers on reports, magazines, and packaging. I learned firsthand how having a strong brand, professional website, and well crafted customer experience can change everything!
My design style is heavily inspired by nature. With a deep love for adventure, I bring that energy to my work and the clients I partner with. If you're ready to elevate your business and put your best foot forward, I’m here to help.

Chances are, we would be a great fit if your business falls into one of these three categories:
-
You strive to make this world a better place by taking care of the planet and its inhabitants: environmentally, socially, and economically.
-
Your products are eco-friendly and sourced responsibly + ethically (with the facts to back it up, no greenwashing around here).
-
You encourage others to chase their dreams, whatever they may be. You’re not afraid of breaking barriers and pushing forward into the unknown.
I limit my work to these three categories for two main reasons. My job is to make businesses look and feel good to the consumer. I’ve worked with corporations in the past and it just didn’t feel great. Making them look environmentally conscious or pro-workers rights weighed on my conscious. I want to feel like my work is honest, like I can throw myself behind a project because it is actually real and important.
The second reason is that these are industries where I spend most of my money. They are activities I enjoy doing and products I consume. Because of this, I know how to brand them. I know how to talk to the target audience and how to ensure connection. They’re also just projects I am easily inspired by!
I’ve worked with farmers, artisans and makers, musicians, bee keepers, conservation teams, and more. Most businesses I work with are either solo-preneurs or small teams who have been in business for a few years.
It’s time to stand out.

I live in Swannanoa, NC. In late September 2024, my town was decimated by Hurricane Helene. We were all severely unprepared for a hurricane to hit the mountains and unfortunately many people did not survive. Months later, we are still struggling to recover and rebuild what’s left of our neighborhoods and town. In October, I helped launch Swannanoa Grassroots Alliance, a group of locals focused on recovery efforts and making sure our little unincorporated village is accounted for in the months and years to come. Please visit the site for ways to help.
