In 2022 Element Tree opened a store in Savannah Georgia and wanted to release a special candle collection inspired by the beautiful coastline, live oaks, and Spanish moss. The vessels were already chosen by the team and the Spanish Moss scent was decided upon. For the remaining candle names, I knew I wanted them to represent plants native to the area, so I dove into research. I played with quite a few different options but eventually landed on “Palmetto & Citrus” and “Magnolia Driftwood.” I created watercolor paintings of each and worked with my colleague, Andrea Dedman, to finalize the package and label designs.
